RUMMAGE
"Of course I’m a bit biased because it’s my own store, but there are so many unique and interesting finds from knickknacks to lighting and gift items. It really has it all for those who appreciate personality and a bit of quirk."

CARBON BEACH
"This is my escape for walks when I have the time to drive out to Malibu."

Interior designer Kishani Perera doesn’t have a lot of downtime. When the Los Angeles–based decorator isn’t solving design dilemmas and beautifying spaces for the likes of Michael C. Hall, Rachel Bilson, Molly Sims, and Emily Deschanel, she’s logging hours in her design boutique, Rummage, or roaming around town overseeing projects from an estate in Pacific Palisades to a Spanish-style villa in Los Feliz. Now, the University of California, Los Angeles graduate and author of Vintage Remix: The Interiors of Kishani Perera, clues us in on where she spends her days off in Los Angeles.

RUMMAGE Of course I’m a bit biased because it’s my own store, but there are so many unique and interesting finds from knickknacks to lighting and gift items. It really has it all for the vintage home enthusiast who appreciates personality and a bit of quirk.

EREWHON Hands down, Erewhon is my favorite grocery store in town. They have so many delicious raw and vegan items that you can’t find anywhere else. It’s my healthy eating wonderland.

CROSSROADS KITCHEN Without a doubt my LA restaurant crush. Crossroads Kitchen has an amazing ambience and to-die-for vegan food and desserts.

SOHO HOUSE SoHo House has fantastic mixologists, great design, and brilliant views. It’s my favorite place to meet up with friends.

CAFÉ GRATITUDE The yummy green tea concoctions and fresh juice combos at Café Gratitude make it worth the trek and hunt for parking.

THE LANDMARK THEATRE I mainly watch films at home, but if I do go out, I love The Landmark Theatre because it’s clean, spacious, never too crowded, and it’s filled with super comfy seats.

CARBON BEACH This is my escape for walks when I have the time to drive out to Malibu. But, near where I live, I take pilates classes with my incredible teacher, Lucinda Bennewith.
