About Town: Kate Young
With her namesake fashion and accessories line created exclusively for Target launching this week, stylist Kate Young has no plans to rest on her laurels. After starting her career as an assistant at Vogue, the N.Y.-based fashion phenom became contributing editor at Teen Vogue, a role she’s held for 10 years. When the busy mother of two isn’t styling photo shoots or fashion shows, she can be found in Tinseltown dressing the likes of Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams for film premieres and award shows. COOKBOOK LA Sometimes my family moves to L.A. for a few weeks and I like to cook big dinners if we’re staying in a house. This place is so gorgeous and they make everything look beautiful and delicious.
HEATH CERAMICS My favorite dishes come from here and I love the other stuff they sell, it’s really well curated
PRESSED JUICERY One of my first stops off the plane or before work. I love greens 2 and 3 and I think the chlorophyll water is amazing.
SCOUT This is a fantastic place to shop for vintage clothes.
MOHAWK GENERAL STORE I love the curation. I like everything about the store—the clothes and furniture in particular.
TORTOISE I love everything here. They have amazing gifts, table stuff and gardening stuff. Shopping here is like being in a cool neighborhood in Tokyo.
DAN TANA’S I go here for a cocktail and a steak.
