Christina Zilber worked as a model and actress before she founded Jouer Cosmetics in 2008 and became creative director of the line. The mother of two designs palettes and colors that reflect her simple and chic California lifestyle as well as her desire to shorten the time it takes to get ready without sacrificing quality. She captures images from her travels and keeps track of what inspires her as she works on the upcoming season’s collections. Most recently, Christine launched Creme Eye Shadow Crayons and Tinted Lip Enhancers, two products she admits to using daily.  Here are some of Christina’s favorite places in L.A.:

NOBU MALIBU I love the new Nobu in Malibu with its magical setting, delicious food, and relaxed, fun atmosphere.

ESCONDIDO CANYON Nothing clears my mind like a hike, and the hills of Malibu are my go-to place. This hike ends with a delicious waterfall (or trickle— depending on the time of year).

LACMA  The cultural mecca of Los Angeles, LACMA has transformed Los Angeles into an art hot spot. I love spending an afternoon perusing the latest exhibits.

MALIBU COUNTRY MART I’ve been a fan of Malibu Mutt’s falafals since my first weeks at college. My kids and I bike to the Mart every weekend for lunch, a walk to the bookstore and some of the best people watching.

MONSIEUR MARCEL I stock up on necessities here like artisinal cheese, wine, truffle salt, gourmet chocolates, and hard to find French foods.
