WildAid Gala
On Saturday, November 7, San-Francisco-based non-profit WildAid transformed the luxurious Montage Beverly Hills into “An Evening in Africa” for its glamorous star-studded gala, honoring 15-years of dedication to stopping the wildlife trade. Animal rights enthusiasts, including celebrities Josh and Fergie Duhamel, Kristin Bauer, Michael Cudlitz, Paula Abdul, and Diane Warren, stepped onto the red carpet for the non-profit’s “Hollywood debut.” Vibrant African dancers and bands, along with Tanzanian singer Alikiba, captured guests with special performances before opening up the stage to WildAid Executive Director Peter Knights who honored actress Maggie Q. for her efforts against the rhino horn trade and shark fin soup crusade. From exotic safari trips to photographs from esteemed wildlife photographers, the exhilarating live and silent auction featured highly coveted selections and successfully raised thousands of dollars towards the WildAid organization.
