On Wednesday, November 11, fashion house Valentino curated an intimate luncheon in Beverly Hills for L.A.-based nonprofit organization H.E.A.R.T. (Helping Ease Abuse Related Trauma); a branch of the Violence Intervention Program (VIP). Attendees browsed the luxury designer’s glamorous collection from handbags and shoes to elegant silhouettes, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the organization’s efforts. Long white-linen tables dressed the space for the exclusive lunch, spearheaded by VIP’s Executive Director, Dr. Astrid Heger, who addressed the room with news of the non-profit’s current project, the Hope Center for Teens. Announcing a $250,000 match challenge from the Elaine P. Wynn and Family Foundation, VIP hopes to provide educational programs and more for adolescents transitioning out of foster care.
