Fashion and art collided in Downtown Los Angeles Tuesday evening as Chloé and the Museum of Contemporary Art hosted their third annual dinner, this year celebrating the Anna Maria Maiolino exhibition of visceral cement sculptures, politically-charged films, fluid drawings, and monumental installations of unfired clay. MOCA Director Philippe Vergne kicked off the elegant affair treating Chloé-clad guests including Emma Roberts, Aimee Song, and Kelly Rowland, all in the label’s Fall 2017 collection, to a private tour of the exhibit, part of The Getty Foundation’s Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA initiative, before the party moved upstairs to the museum’s rooftop for a seated dinner at a large three-side table draped in pastel shades of pink and yellow. Celebrated British chef Tess Ward flew in from London for the event, preparing an enviable menu including gluten-free standouts like Smoked Chicken with Kale and Chanterelles and Tamarind Figs, Coconut Ice Cream and Almond Snaps for dessert. Wooden chairs were draped in sheepskin in case guests including Courtney Trop, Este and Danielle Haim and Jessica de Reuiter caught an evening chill while listening to L.A.-based band Winter close out the evening with a spectacular performance.
