British furniture designer Tom Dixon and Curve clothing boutique owner Nevena Borissova gathered friends and tastemakers for the opening of their joint boutique, The Shop: Curve x Tom Dixon, in Culver City, on Wednesday, July 20. Nestled inside the buzzy new retail destination Platform, the highly-anticipated shop opening drew a star-studded guest list including actress Kirsten Dunst, model-turned-jewelry designer Erin Wasson, Baby2Baby’s Kelly Sawyer Patricof, stylist Alana Hadid, actor Terry Crews and actress Natasha Wagner. Tom Dixon’s spheric, gold chandeliers cascaded from the vaulted industrial ceilings, illuminating Curve’s designer labels (Rodarte, Alexander Wang and ACNE Studios, to name a few), which hung on sleek displays amid marbled and mirrored accessory-clad vignettes. On top of offering coveted brands and Dixon’s lustrous home furnishings and decor, the 7,000-square-foot lifestyle haven will be debuting an in-store cafe this September.
