New York-based stylist and designer Brandon Maxwell celebrated his namesake line’s Spring Summer 2016 collection of sleek ready-to-wear ensembles with an intimate candle-lit dinner at The Apartment by the Line — Los Angeles last night on Tuesday, April 26. The Line’s executive creative director Vanessa Traina and supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were among the It crowd at the posh Melrose Place post, toasting the young designer’s burgeoning fashion label. But the celebratory affair didn’t just mark the debut of Maxwell’s latest line: The debonair designer (known for styling Lady Gaga’s most buzz-worthy looks) has amassed a cult following since launching his brand just one year ago and recently secured a nomination for the CFDA’s Swarovski Award for Womenswear. Huntington-Whiteley, who co-hosted the evening soiree in a form-fitting LBD from Maxwell’s latest collection, joined guests including Phoebe Tonkin, China Chow, Jessica Joffe and Erin Foster in toasting Maxwell’s impeccably tailored, monochromatic designs and growing successes.
