When Stella McCartney comes to town, stars flock. Such was the case on Tuesday, January 16, when the British designer unveiled her Fall/Winter 2018 collections for both women and men at Hollywood’s SIR Studios.

As models took the stage, so did musical acts: Børns, Leon Bridges, Grimes, St. Vincent, Beck featuring the Compton Kidz Club choir, and the Dr. Pepper’s Jaded Hearts Club Band, which featured an cameo from Paul McCartney. In the audience for the celebration were Amy Poehler, Dakota Johnson, David Hockney, David Lynch, Ed Ruscha, Emma Roberts, Giovanni Ribisi, Goldie Hawn, James Corden, Kate Hudson, Kate Mara, Katy Perry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Paris Jackson, Ringo Starr, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham, and many more.

Prior to the show, C was invited backstage to get a closer look at the beauty looks that complimented McCartney’s fashionable play on masculinity and femininity. Aveda Global Creative Director Antoinette Beenders created an effortlessly cool look for the hair with clean center parts, gentle waves and pulled back from the face. John Stapleton with MAC Cosmetics made the models glow with a natural but dewy visage. For manicures, Mary Lennon, founder of Los Angeles-based nail salon Côte, was called on to highlight the nails two layers of her shade Number 8 and a matte finish. Lennon says of her toxin-free line, “It really does matter what you put on your nails,” so working with McCartney for the first time really was a perfect match.
