Sony Pictures Classics 2014 Oscar Nominees Dinner
The Sony Pictures Classics Oscar Nominees Dinner presented by Moet & Chandon was held in Los Angeles at Supper Suite by STK on Saturday, March 1, just hours after the Independent Spirit Awards. After quick wardrobe changes, nominees and past winners dined in celebration of Cate Blanchett, Sally Hawkins, others from the creative team for Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine, as well as Julie Delpy of Before Midnight and the costume design team for The Invisible Woman. Executive Chef Robert Liberato presided over dinner as Co-Presidents and Co-Founders of Sony Pictures Classics Tom Bernard and Michael Barker congratulated those involved in the production of all three films. Barker also paid tribute to late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. After the final course, Olivia Somerlyn performed an acoustic version of U2’s “Ordinary Love” and STK Pastry Chef Brigette Contreras presented passed around macaroons to guests including Blanchett.
