Heather Taylor and Alex de Cordoba launched their new Culver City gallery location with a show by New York artist Simone Shubuck. The tension between reimagined and so-called new ideas inspired the solo exhibition of works on paper titled Do You Like Old Things or New Things That Look Old? at Taylor De Cordoba gallery. Taylor tapped Hollyflora to create inventive florals for a private dinner organized around a menu of Mexican food that was held in the gallery’s back garden. Brightly colored striped blankets served as tablecloths and spicy chocolate cupcakes made the rounds for dessert.
