The Palm Springs International Film Festival gala post-party took place at the Parker Palm Springs on Saturday, January 4, shortly after the show wrapped at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Honorees who ventured to the desert to celebrate the past year in film and to watch a slew of new foreign and domestic independent movies included actors Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Bruce Dern, and Matthew McConaughey. The annul fête that benefits the Palm Springs International Film Society also included U2’s Bono and The Edge who were on hand to accept the Sonny Bono Visionary Award. Post-gala, guests including Hanks, Dern, McConaughey, Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong’o, David O. Russell, Amy Pascal, and Elisabeth Röhm arrived at the Parker for aperitifs and a celebration on the resort’s lush grounds that have long served as a picturesque setting for such gatherings.
