A guest perused the Mr Porter x Visvim collection

On Wednesday, November 7, at the Visvim store in Downtown L.A.’s iconic Bradbury Building, Mr Porter threw a party to celebrate its years-in-the-making collaboration with the Japanese brand. With a soft spot for all things Americana, chief designer Hiroki Nakamura took inspiration for the collection from the climbers of the ’50s and ’60s who scaled the peaks of Yosemite.

For the party Nakamura re-created a vintage campsite in store, pitching a mountaineer’s tent and hauling in a vintage trailer for authenticity. Californian design royalty—including Entireworld’s Scott Sternberg, Outerknown co-founder John Moore and sunglasses guru Garrett Leight—joined him and Mr Porter Managing Director Toby Bateman in raising a beer to the partnership. The collection is available exclusively on mrporter.com.
