On the eve of the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards, L.A.’s well-heeled denizens gathered at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont for Max Mara‘s Women in Film cocktail party on Tuesday, June 14. Honoree and actress Natalie Dormer, recipient of the Women in Film Max Mara 2016 Face of the Future award, stunned in a silky silhouette from the Italian fashion house, while mingling among guests in the open-air courtyard. Hosts Nicola Maramotti, ambassador for Maxa Mara, and Vanity Fair Executive West Coast Editor Krista Smith joined famous faces including a yellow velvet tuxedo-clad Emily Ratajkowski, Blythe Danner, Maude Apatow, Selma Blair, Molly Sims, Alyssa Sutherland and Ireland Baldwin for an evening toasting Dormer and the organization’s ongoing efforts. The honorary cocktail party and awards ceremony marks a 14-year partnership between Max Mara and non-profit organization Women in Film, which promotes equal opportunity for women, creative projects by women and enhanced portrayals of women in global media.
