Just in time for the holidays, Elizabeth Olsen, Mandy Moore and Kaley Cuoco are lending their creative touch to a special collaboration with jewelry company Alex and Ani. The actors teamed with the Rhode Island-based brand, known for its eco-conscious accessories and community-minded ethos, to help fashion its latest Charity By Design collection to benefit the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF), an organization dedicated to raising money and awareness to combat Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare and debilitating skin disorder.
The three-piece range of bracelets features a color and hashtag unique to each actor’s individual design, and are all adorned with a butterfly to commemorate EBMRF’s mission. Available now through March 31 on Alex and Ani’s website, 100 percent of the proceeds from sales will go towards EBMRF and its pursuit of a cure for the genetic disease, which causes painful blistering of the skin, scarring and disfigurement.
Olsen, Moore, and Cuoco join the likes of Brad Pitt, Sting, Cindy Crawford and other celebrities who stepped out in support of the organization in January at the Rock 4 EB! Concert in Malibu, an event sponsored by Alex and Ani Founder, CEO and Chief Creative Officer Carolyn Rafaelian.
Charity By Design was created in 2011 by Alex and Ani in an effort to spread the idea of sharing positive energy worldwide, designed to ignite passion for the wellbeing of the planet and individual communities. To date, Alex and Ani’s Charity By Design has donated more than $48.3 million to its non-profit partners.
