Fashion and film power players mingled in the sun-dappled courtyard of the Chateau Marmont to celebrate the launch of the Runway to Red Carpet Showcase on Tuesday, February 20. As a resource for stylists and entertainment insiders, the showroom—running at Fred Segal Sunset Boulevard through March 4—gives access to great American apparel and accessories designers in the heart of event season. The assortment includes looks from Brother Veilles, Cushnie et Ochs, Christan Siriano, Jennifer Fisher, Rosie Assoulin, Tome and more.
Hosted by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Variety and Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), the afternoon welcomed mix of red carpet regulars and the celebrity designers and stylists who dress them, including Olivia Munn, Elizabeth Stewart, January Jones, Diane von Furstenberg, Jamie King, Karla Welch, Alison Brie and Brad Goreski.
Over lunch, event co-chair and special guest Vera Wang led a sartorial chat with WWD West Coast Bureau Chief Marcy Medina about all things red carpet. Guests could also contemplate giving their stilettos a day off as they were treated to a showcase of sponsor Karma Automotive’s Karma Revero model.
