LAXART held its 5th annual Benefit Auction & Party to support experimental exhibitions on Wednesday, November 6, at the Brick Building in Culver City. Director Lauri Firstenberg joined event chairs Candace Nelson, Iris Marden and Jennifer Hawks at the evening’s live and silent auctions, with art by Lucien Smith, Alex Israel, Liz Glynn, Ellsworth Kelly, Dashiell Manley, and many others. Guests including Jesse Williams, Ruth and Jacob Bloom, Fred Savage, Jennifer Stone, Bettina Korek, and Jeffrey and Catharine Soros turned up to join the bidding frenzy.
