Los Angeles design cognoscenti spent an early summer evening at Margaret and Joel Chen’s gorgeous Hancock Park residence for the kickoff party on Wednesday, June 12, to herald the 18th annual Los Angeles Antiques, Art + Design Show (LAAADS), opening in October. Guests got a rare view inside the Chen house at a cocktail party for the fall show that benefits LACMA’s Decorative Arts and Design Council. Interior designer Annie Kelly and architectural photographer Tim Street-Porter held court at the celebration—they will be honored at the October LAAADS gala, slated to be held in a new location at 3Labs Studio in arts-centric Hayden Tract, Culver City. Also on hand were Adam Blackman, Jean de Merry, Mayer Rus, and Bianca Chen.
