“You look so beautiful, I’m so proud of you,” Suede Brooks cooed before embracing Kaia Gerber. The second-generation model—and doppelgänger of her mother, Cindy Crawford—held court poolside at a private estate in Beverly Hills as she relished her debut as the new face of Marc Jacobs’ signature scent, Daisy. “Being the new face of Daisy Marc Jacobs feels like a dream come true,” Gerber told at the fashion house’s fete for the fragrance on May 9. “Thinking that some little girl might see me as her role model in the same way that I used to see the Daisy girls is an amazing feeling.” Donning a thigh-hemline dress, the fifteen-year-old took cues from her shoot and threw on an embellished overcoat to complete her head-to-toe look from the brand.  “It was so cold the day we were shooting the campaign. Dilia [Martins], Sofia [Metchetner] and I all had to huddle together in a blanket in between shots to stay warm.”

As Gerber’s co-stars surrounded her, other starlets like Maddie Ziegler, Salem Mitchell, Amelia Gray Hamlin, Serayah McNeill and Juno Temple joined in on the fun. While most guests lounged on the lawn to the sounds of a live acoustic guitar performance, received fresh flower bracelets from Valleybrink Road or indulged in photo-booth fun, Joey King and Skai Jackson shared a flora-and-fragrance moment over a table complete with white daisy arrangements and endless bottles of the coveted perfume for the taking. “Find the one that’s all the way to the top,” King directed Jackson with a laugh. As the two meticulously measured the three-ouncers, King paused, noting, “Apparently you can take one home as a party favor. Things that smell good, like perfume of course, just make me feel ten times better.”

“My favorite thing about the scent is it’s so fresh and so feminine,” the 17-year-old continued before ascending into floral bliss. “You can literally wear it everywhere. It’s not too overpowering and it’s just the right amount of smelly good freshness for the day.” The feeling was mutual with Zoo actress Gracie Dzienny, who recalled her childhood home in Ohio. “I moved here six years ago,” she explained, “and Daisy reminds me of my backyard, growing up.” And of Gerber’s performance, the Buckeye State native approved, noting, “There are some fragrance campaigns that are iconic. I think Daisy has always been one of them. There are always these fresh-faced beautiful girls in a field and now it’s Kaia Gerber, who’s so beautiful. I’m happy to be here to celebrate.”

Before the night was over, an aquatic performance played out against the view of the city prompted Temple to coolly say, “The synchronized swimming blew my mind. I thought that was really beautiful. It’s pretty cool to see a team of women do something like that.”
