On the heels of opening the doors to their contemporary label Elizabeth and James‘ inaugural flagship, designers and ever-modish sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen threw a Champagne-filled fete with InStyle Magazine at the Chateau Marmont on Tuesday, July 26. The summer cocktail party, held at the storied hotel’s candlelit Penthouse 64, was a rare public appearance for the twins, who joined a roster of notable names like Heidi Klum, Langley Fox, Angela Lindvall, and their younger sister, actress Elizabeth Olsen (one half of the brand’s namesake along with brother, James). Replete with craft “Elizabeth” and “James” cocktails and lavender bloom-adorned tables, the night quintessentially chic and a true homage to their new store, which is nestled at L.A. shopping institution The Grove. The locale will house the label’s ready-to-wear, fragrances, accessories, and a few hand-selected vintage decor items, each embracing a sophisticated ease and nostalgia with which the 9-year-old brand has become synonymous.
