Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer, co-chaired by Jim Toth and Reese Witherspoon, was held at the Book Bindery in Culver City on Tuesday, January 28. The benefit for Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C), presented by the Entertainment Industry Foundation, celebrated its newest collaboration with the American Cancer Society with a benefit that drew guests including Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, Jessica Alba, Drew Barrymore, Will Kopelman, Justin Bartha, Anne Hathaway, Diane Kruger, Emma Roberts, Bud Selig, and Zooey Deschanel. The evening ceremony included an announcement of the Jim Toth Sr. Breakthrough Lung Cancer Research Award named in honor of Toth’s father who passed away from lung cancer. Master of ceremonies Conan O’Brien acknowledged scientists and doctors conducting SU2C-funded research, as well as Bristol-Myers Squibb’s support for the charity. Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, and Jamie Foxx—who was later joined by funny man Ken Jeong—all performed for guests.
