Hollywood Film Awards 2015
The 19th annual Hollywood Film Awards officially kicked off awards season at the Beverly Hilton hotel with endless leading stars on Sunday, November 1. Hosted by acclaimed actor, comedian and late-night talk show host James Corden, the gala cued celebrity presenters to the stage from all realms of the film world including Russell Crowe, Amber Heard, Jamie Foxx and Ryan Gosling, to deliver everything from best in Hollywood costume design to cinematography. Taking home the Hollywood Actress Award for her role in Suffragette was Carey Mulligan, while Will Smith accepted the “Hollywood Actor Award” for his performance in Concussion. The Hollywood Director Award went to Tom Hooper for The Danish Girl, followed by the “Hollywood Producer Award,” which went to Ridley Scott for The Martian. Capping off the ceremony was the night’s highest honor, the Hollywood Career Achievement Award, which went to global icon Robert De Niro for his countless life works—captured in a moving highlight reel—and garnered a standing ovation from the star-studded crowd.
