On Friday November 14, fans of Julia Chaplin’s Gypset website and book series gathered in Montecito with the night’s host Kendall Conrad to celebrate the unveiling of the author’s latest book, Gypset Living (Assouline). In the candlelit courtyard, Chaplin signed copies of the newest boho lifestyle volume, which takes an intimate look at an array of cultural nomads inside their own domains around the world. The gathering included both Santa Barbara and Los Angeles residents and drew Holly Jacobs, Nancy Simon, Daryl Stegall, and Jules Allen who toasted the author with cocktails in the quaint and atmospheric setting before heading inside Conrad’s eponymous shop for copies of the book and early holiday shopping.
