GLSEN Respect Awards Los Angeles
Ringing in the 11th annual Respect Awards Los Angeles, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) held an inspirational gala at the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel on Friday, October 23. Since its inception in 1990, GLSEN has sought to promote respect among students regardless of gender or sexual orientation, spotlighting individuals and corporations who have fostered its mission with an annual award event. This year, the organization honored inspiration award winners Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, as well as champion award winner Zachary Quinto, student advocate of the year, Mars Hallman, and chairman’s award winner, YouTube. Honorary co-chairs Julia Roberts, JJ Abrams, Bob Greenblatt and more, also joined GLSEN in celebrating their efforts over an intimate dinner led by inspirational speeches.
