For the 10th installment of the MOCA Distinguished Women in the Arts luncheon, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles honored philanthropist Lillian Lovelace and artist Tala Madani at the Beverly Wilshire hotel on Wednesday, November 1.

The artful celebration was graced with an exclusive fashion presentation of Etro’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection, which was abundant with vibrant printed patterns and the bold, feminine yet sporty silhouettes that are synonymous with the Italian fashion house. The event’s chairs—MOCA’s Ann-Rose Kaplan and Eydie Desser—and distinguished co-chairs welcomed more than 400 guests, among them art world notables like Edythe Broad, Karon Davis, Peter and Elizabeth Goulds, Olivia Marciano, Shulamit Nazarian and Megan Steinman, and other VIP attendees like Jamie Schneider Mizrahi, Ali Larter and Molly Sims, Sara and Erin Foster, and Gelila Puck and Sonia Boyajian.

Since its introduction in 1994, MOCA Distinguished Women in the Arts has celebrated women in dance, music, literature and the visual arts, and has helped the beloved Los Angeles institution continue its commendable work in and for the community, with this year’s luncheon being no exception: The event’s proceeds of more than $225,000 will benefit MOCA’s efforts in arts education and exhibition programs.
