On Tuesday, May 15, Disney and Coach celebrated their A Dark Fairy Tale collaboration with a pop-up shop at the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
Feting the brands’ third collaboration (and most twisted to date), hosts Paola Alberdi of Blank Itinerary, and Children’s Hospital of Orange County supporters Brandee Bianchi and Lili Daftarian, welcomed 50 guests to the South Coast Plaza Jewel Court to sip Champagne while previewing the special-edition capsule collection of accessories and ready-to-wear.
Featuring Coach creative director Stuart Vevers’ edgy twist on motifs found in both Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, pieces at the pop-up (open through May 25), spanned a poison apple-emblazoned T-shirt to an equally sinister duffle printed with spooky eyes.
Nearby, more shopping and hors d’oeuvres were to be found at the Coach store, where shoppers forced the event to extend an hour by popular demand and surpassed the evening’s sales goals. A percentage of the evening’s proceeds benefited COH. Happily ever after, indeed.
