The Kayne Griffin Corcoran gallery hosted a dinner on Thursday, October 18, in celebration of COS’ partnership with Dia Art Foundation and the work of Los Angeles-based artist Mary Corse. An alt-jazz band played in the courtyard as guests sipped cucumber-and-mint coolers and perused the gallery’s pieces by both Corse (whose work is also on long-term view at Dia:Beacon in upstate New York) and fellow exhibitor David Lynch. The dinner, provided by perennial favorite Sqirl, included chicken with preserved lemon, miso-glazed Santa Barbara black cod and roasted winter squash. Joining David Morehouse and Alexis Lowry of Dia at the long communal table were notable guests including Kate Mara, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jaime King, Tom Payne, Aluna Francis, Rita McBride and Maggie Kayne, the gallery’s co-founder.
