9th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic L.A.
With Halloween weeks away, Kendall Jenner, Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis, Mandy Moore, Rosario Dawson and other celebrities got an early start partying in an orange glow at the 9th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Los Angeles.
Surrounded by bottles of Champagne branded with Veuve Clicquot’s distinctive orange labels, they were among some 6,000 spectators who personified California chic at the outdoor party held at Will Rogers State Historic Park on Saturday, October 6. In a romantic burgundy dress by A.L.C. with subtly puffy sleeves and a long handkerchief hem, actor Ellen Pompeo threw the ceremonial ball before world-renowned polo player Nacho Figueras of Team Veuve Clicquot took on Team Will Rogers. Fellow thespians Rebel Wilson, Justin Hartley and Garcelle Beauvais stomped the divots. Alongside his wife, Delfina Blaquier, Figueras led Team Veuve Clicquot to a 7-6 victory.
Away from the field, DJ Samantha Ronson reminded guests of the importance of the upcoming midterm elections with her “Vote” T-shirt while spinning tunes for a crowd that included Christina Hendricks, Victoria Justice, Camilla Belle and Rachel Zoe. Kaley Cuoco amplified the celebratory mood by leaping into Brad Goreski’s arms on the red carpet and making a beeline for the bar to pick up a glass of pink-tinted bubbly in celebration of Veuve Clicquot’s 200th anniversary of creating the world’s first rosé Champagne.
