An all-star list of celebrities stepped out to celebrate the 2014 Carousel of Hope Ball at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on October 11. The annual event, hosted by Barbara Davis and Mercedes Benz-USA, honored Earvin Magic Johnson for his commitment to humanitarian efforts. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar presented his former teammate with the Brass Ring Award. Master of Ceremonies Jay Leno hosted a live auction before performances by Jennifer Hudson, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Josh Groban. Other guests included Sidney Poitier, Diane Keaton, Clive Davis, Karina Smirnoff, Kat Dennings and Larry King. The event raised more than $77 million for the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes.
