Minotti’s 70th Anniversary in L.A.
To celebrate its 70th anniversary, Italian furniture company Minotti climbed to the heights of art and revelry on Thursday, October 4, in the City of Angels.
At the iconic John Lautner-designed Sheats-Goldstein residence on a hillside towering above L.A.’s glitzy lights, the Minotti family and Minotti Los Angeles showroom founder, Mary Ta, welcomed more than 150 guests, including interior designers Cliff Fong and Jamie Bush, architect Alexandra Loew, artist Mattia Biagi and his wife, fashion designer Valerj Pobega.
In addition to admiring Lautner’s modernist architecture, the crowd enjoyed an exclusive viewing of James Turrell’s light exhibit Above Horizon on site at the James Goldstein-owned property. The festivities included toasts from Roberto, Susanna and Alessandro Minotti, as well as a screening of the documentary Minotti Undiscovered at Club James, Goldstein’s private nightclub on the property. Apropos of any glamorous nightclub, the evening’s celebratory mood was extended with dancing and dessert high above the city.
