New York clothing and accessories designer Rachel Comey has brought her effortless, sophisticated styles to California denizens with the opening of her first West Coast brick-and-mortar. Friends and fans of the brand joined Comey and co-host Rashida Jones in kicking off the affair on Melrose Place with a cocktail party on Wednesday, June 15. Attendees including Tracee Ellis Ross, Kim Gordon, Busy Philipps, Miranda July, Brad Goreski, Sophie Buhai, Jessica de Ruiter and Gregory Parkinson perused the newly minted boutique, replete with the latest summer-ready shoes (think open-toe mules, bold-hued pumps and booties), handbags and ready-to-wear garb. DJ Jaleel Bunton set the musical backdrop as guests sipped on cocktails and shopped the latest collection.
