Blue Ribbon Luncheon Honoring HSH Princess Charlene of Monaco
Princess Charlene of Monaco was graciously welcomed in Los Angeles last Thursday, May 12, by the Blue Ribbon of The Music Center for a luncheon and event in her honor. Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis and Mayor Eric Garcetti joined the commemorative affair which included a Q&A, followed by a beautiful performance by The Los Angeles Children’s Chorus. The event took place in the The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion under a portrait of Chandler herself, who spearheaded the building of the Music Center and founded the Blue Ribbon, which supports the center’s arts education and community programs. The Princess (and former Olympic swimmer) was presented with a commemorative award by the organization’s president Julie Goldsmith and event co-chair Constance Towers Gavin. The regent and mother of two was in the United States to announce the US Chapter of the Princesse Charlène de Monaco Foundation, a nonprofit organization designed to promote water safety, sport and education programs particularly for children.
