On Thursday, April 14, more than 70 guests filled Shinola‘s newly minted Jackson Square boutique to fete the launch of the label’s first-ever women’s collection of covetable leather handbags. Hosted by S.F.’s resident tastemakers Emily Holt and Olya Dzilikhova, the trunk show marks the first of many where John Truex and Richard Lambertson, co-design directors of leather accessories, will share their inspiration for the venture first-hand. The Bay Area’s well-heeled denizens, including Lauren Goodman, Ashley Batz and Becky Lam, joined the designers in toasting the new line, which rounds out the Detroit-based brand’s beloved collection of modern watches, urban bicycles, journals and more.
