Diane B. Wilsey Center For Opera Opening
The San Francisco Opera toasted the opening of its soon-to-be-completed Diane B. Wilsey Center For Opera with a celebratory red ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, February 12. Guest of Honor Diane B. Wilsey and S.F. Opera General Director David Gockley joined guests including Paul Pelosi, Jon Finck, Elkhanah Pulitzer, and Karen Kubin for a first-glimpse at the newly renovated space and unveiling of Domenico Monteforte’s vibrant mural, That’s Opera!. Spanning the fourth floor and basement of S.F.’s War Memorial Veterans Building, the 38,000-sq.ft. complex will house the Company archive, two public exhibition galleries, costume studios, a state-of-the-art theater, an education studio and much more.
