SFMOMA Awards Dinner 2015
In honor of renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, SFMOMA held its first-ever Contemporary Vision Award dinner at the Regency Center ballroom on Tuesday, November 3. More than 500 guests from all over the Golden Coast joined SFMOMA Director Neal Benezra, Modern Art Council President Candace M. Cavanaugh and others in honoring Leibovitz’s countless achievements. From working as Rolling Stone’s chief photographer to capturing groundbreaking portrait shots for Vanity Fair and Vogue, the inaugural award-winner was applauded for her visionary mark in the contemporary art world. Following an elegant cocktail reception, attendees enjoyed an exclusive conversation with Leibovitz and SFMOMA Trustee and CEO of Chronicle Books, Nion McEvoy, and a seated dinner in the grand ballroom.
