Levi’s 501 CT + Vogue
Sewing machines hummed inside the Levi’s Haus Los Angeles on Thursday, February 26, as Vogue editors Kelley Connor and Emma Morrison launched a limited edition line of 100 pairs of custom-tapered women’s 501 CT jeans with a new leg-elongating design. The editors masterminded the nip-and-tuck procedures for the worn-in high-waisted denim in conjunction with the Levi’s design team at the brand’s San Francisco-based Eureka Lab. And, in truth, the 100 tapered dungarees created to herald the launch of Levi’s 501 CT jeans, were the talk of the evening as guests searched for the perfect pair. Levi’s Head of Global Design Jonathan Cheung and Chief Product Officer Karyn Hillman were also on hand for the cocktail party held inside the craftsman house situated high above Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, and they were joined by Este Haim—who served as DJ—as well as her sisters, Danielle and Alana. Hannah Bronfman, Clara Vivier, Kilo Kish, Max Hershenow, and Sophie Simpson all joined Cheung and Hillman to check out the denim on display.
