On Friday, September 5, guests celebrated opening night of San Francisco Opera’s 92nd Season, Opera Ball 2014: Passione. The elegant fête featured a new production of Vincenzo Bellini’s Norma conducted by music director Nicola Luisotti with acclaimed soprano Sondra Radvanosky held at the War Memorial Opera House. The event, designed by J. Riccardo Benavides (of Ideas Events), began at City Hall with a cocktail reception followed by dinner catered by McCalls Catering & Events. The Opera Ball benefits more than than 60,000 students annually in over 230 schools throughout Northern California.
