Lou Adler and Kevin Duncan orchestrated a Starry Evening of Music, Comedy, and Surprises benefiting The Painted Turtle camp and UCSF Medical Center that was held at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco on Monday, March 10. Annette Bening, Bonnie Raitt, and Amber Riley walked the red carpet while Josh Groban, and Randy Newman rallied the room with special performances. Also on hand were Renée Zellweger, Danny DeVito, and UCSF Medical Center CEO Mark Laret. Guests including Seth Miller, Ronnie Lott, and Barry Zito were on hand to help raise funds for The Painted Turtle, one of the children’s camps founded by the late actor and philanthropist Paul Newman for youth who are too ill for typical sleep-away situations. Following the concert, the after-party took place at Zellerbach Hall on Franklin Street where supporters and Painted Turtle campers found their way to the dance floor.
