Barneys New York in Beverly Hills held a packed shopping party for Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA), that included performances by members of the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA), on Wednesday, October 16. Guests including Jennifer Meyer, Olivier Martinez, and James Caan were on hand  as photographer Douglas Kirkland signed copies of his latest book, A Life in Pictures (Glitterati Incorporated). Throughout the evening, guests purchased keys to raise money for HOLA—an organization based in the Rampart District that provides inner city youth education, arts, and sports programs—for a chance to win shoes, Céline bags, and Rimowa luggage. After the orchestra played, HOLA’s executive director Tony Brown noted, “This is what happens when you invest in kids 15 minutes down the road from here.” Barneys Creative Ambassador Simon Doonan, who hosted the evening, added, “Shop your brains out for the kids!”
