Tipping Point Community hosted its eighth annual gala benefiting Bay Area philanthropic organizations including BUILD at Pier 48 in San Francisco on Thursday, May 8. As guests arrived at the event organized to raise funds for underserved Bay Area residents, they got a look at images of Meanwhile in San Francisco: The City in Its Own Words (Chronicle Books) by Wendy McNaughton. Paula LeDuc served dinner, and a live auction was held with highlights including lifetime passes to Vail Resorts and a San Francisco 49ers opening-day package. Meanwhile, a four-ton robot created by Bot & Dolly put on a light show and projected real-time fundraising numbers around the cavernous spaces. OneRepublic entertained guests after dinner, and DJ Ruckus spun into the night.
