TheatreWorks Leading Ladies
TheatreWorks held a Leading Ladies lunch at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, February 8. The event celebrated TheatreWorks’ contribution to education programs through TheatreWorks for Schools, and Children’s Healing Project, which provides arts therapy to patients at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. The afternoon celebration, co-chaired by Jenny Dearborn, chief learning officer for Success Factors (part of the SAP software company), and playwright Lauren Gunderson included Silicon Valley luminaries and keynote speakers including Ann Bowers who was the first VP of human resources for Apple, Ann Bowers, Dr. Natalie Batalha of NASA’s Kepler Mission, and Randi Zuckerberg. TheatreWorks also held a private performance of Silent Sky, a biographical play by Gunderson about a turn-of-the-century female astronomer and guests departed with a copy of Zuckerberg‘s Dot Complicated (HarperOne).
