The 28th Annual San Francisco Tribal and Textile Arts show opened at the de Young in San Francisco on Thursday, February 5, with pieces from Asia, Africa, and the Americas on display. Over 15,000 works were presented at the benefit for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco textile and art collections. The evening’s honorary chairs included Thomas Weisel and Janet Barnes, and benefit chairs Diane and Harry Greenberg, Lauren Hall, David Hearth, Richard Scheller, Sue McConnell, Sam and Sharon Singer, Robert Wall, and Margaret Rinkevich.
