Salon Doré at the Legion of Honor
The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco welcomed guests and patrons to the long-anticipated unveiling of the renovated Salon Doré, a salon de compagnie from the Hôtel de La Trémoille in Paris, at the Legion of Honor on Wednesday, April 2. Legion of Honor Curator of European Decorative Arts and Sculpture and architect Andrew Skurman guided guests through the original 18th-century French period room. On the previous evening, guests including Denise Hale and John Gunn joined Dede Wilsey and Fine Arts Museums director Colin Bailey for a private dinner celebrating the reopening of the storied room.
