The San Francisco Film Society held its annual San Francisco International Film Festival Awards Night event inside the Regency Center in San Francisco on Thursday, May 1. This year, Richard Linklater was honored with the Founder’s Directing Award, Jeremy Irons was handed the Peter J. Owens Award for acting, director John Lasseter won the George Gund III Craft of Cinema Award, and Stephen Gaghan took home the Kanbar Award for screenwriting. The evening raised funds the Film Society and for Filmmaker360, an organization that provides year-round exhibitions, education and filmmaker services.
