2016 CCA Gala + Stanlee Gatti
On Wednesday, March 23, San Francisco’s finest gathered for the California College of the Arts annual gala, benefitting student scholarships and honoring lauded event planner, designer and philanthropist Stanlee R. Gatti, who has successfully elevated event design into an art form. Co-chairs Patricia Fitzpatrick and Lorna Meyer Calas were joined by more than 400 patrons from across the Bay in toasting Gatti’s outstanding efforts in the community, while enjoying a cocktail reception and seated dinner in CCA’s modishly transformed space—brimming with green-shaded decor and felt-dipped succulent centerpieces (dreamed up by Gatti’s design team, no less). Among the night’s guests were Dede Wilsey, Denise Hale, Vanessa Getty and Steven Volpe, who helped break CCA’s fundraising record in raising over $1.24 million. The successful evening concluded with an exclusive performance by Oakland-based band Shannon and the Clams, featuring an energetic trio of CCA alumni.
