Businessweek magazine held its second annual Design Conference at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on Monday, March 10. The previous evening, AutoDesk (masters of 3D design software) kicked off the symposium and presenters at the day-long event itself included One Kings Lane co-founders Alison Pincus and Susan Feldman, Craig Dykers of Norweigan architectural firm Snøhetta, Target Executive Creative Director Todd Waterbury, and Gap creative director Rebekka Bay. The conference led by Businessweek’s Richard Turley and Josh Tyrangiel gathered over 400 international designers to discuss thoughtful design in architecture, transportation, graphic and urban design, technology, 3D printing, product manufacturing, data visualization, and genetic engineering.
