2016 MID-WINTER GALA
An array of West Coast socials from the worlds of tech, arts, finance, fashion, design and philanthropy turned out for the 2016 Mid Winter Gala, the annual benefit for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, which took place at the city’s Legion of Honor on Thursday, March 31. Although it was unusually held on a weekday this year, the event was no less formal or spectacular, especially given that Dolce & Gabbana was the night’s sponsor. Around 350 guests, including designer Dominico Dolce himself, gathered along with the evening’s honorary co-chairs, Vanessa Getty and Trevor Traina, and event chairs Kathryn Lasater and Allison Speer. Attendees such as Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke, Mad Max‘s Courtney Eaton and model Devon Aoki were dressed head-to-toe in the Italian brand’s signature lace and floral romantic ensembles, perfectly in line with the red rose centerpieces and Italian-inspired décor throughout the grand venue. Even the night’s D.J. donned Dolce’s gold bejeweled headphones during her high energy set, after an auction that comprised a trip to Milan for Dolce & Gabbana’s fall 2017 fashion show and a Tomales Bay Oyster feast.
