After a weekend spent at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and a second round slated to begin Friday, April 17, you can now stay in the desert and still refine your look. Clothing magnate and Palm Springs tastemaker Trina Turk has opened the doors to her second boutique in the region. This time, she’s created a shop inside The Parker Palm Springs. In celebration of Turk’s 20th anniversary (her flagship shop is still on Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs), the midcentury-inspired new space with hints of modern glamour is outfitted with sunny yellow-and-white striped rugs, glass-topped brass tables, and drapes in Turk’s orange paisley-patterned Vivacious fabric. The new space, located in the lobby of the Jonathan Adler-designed property, features items from flowing, silk blouses and swimsuits in retro-inspired patterns, to homewares such as beach-scented candles, ice buckets, and design tomes. Why get back on the freeway when you can refill your suitcase in town?
