“There’s a little mist in the air, it’s very romantic,” said Josh Klinghoffer, guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Sunday, August 11, as San Francisco’s trademark summer fog and drizzle blew across the polo field in Golden Gate Park during Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival. The three-day gathering drew an international crowd of designers, creatives, local foragers, and even cheese mongers (this year guests paired the vintages they sipped in the Wine Lands tent with fermented selections curated by Thalassa Skinner of Culture magazine). And, amid the swirling precipitation, style savants clad in high-waisted pants, tights, and all manner of wool coats and leather jackets held court.
