Spotlight: Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival Style 2014
“I don’t really know of any other festival like this that I’ve seen,” said lead singer Chris Lynch of Gardens & Villa before their set on Sunday, August 10, at Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival held this past weekend at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. “I love all of the trees and the lights. It has Ewok village-like vibes.” Attendees at the three-day event reveled in a wide variety of music from bands such as Haim, The Flaming Lips, The Kooks, Death Cab For Cutie, The Killers, and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. But, aside from the food and the music, San Francisco tastemakers (and those that flew in specifically for the event) made fashion a top priority with pieces such as fur coats, skinny jeans, leather motorcyle jackets, flowy, bohemian-inspired dresses, patterned pants, lace-up boots, and newsboy caps, while other trendsetters opted for simple striped tees, vintage coats lined with sheepskin lapels, and distressed denim jackets.
Here’s a glimpse of the top weekend looks.
